Our philosophy is simple\, the more firearms in the hands of properly trained Shepherds\, the better. \n\nFAQs \nHow soon can I take the course before my permit expires?\nYou can take the course up to 9 months before the permit expires\, and re-submit 6 months out (may change due to Illinois State Police Policy). \nWhat can I bring to the event?\nQualification takes place in our indoor range! Please bring a positive attitude\, a photo ID\, a modern\, clean\, properly maintained serviceable pistol in good working order\, at least 50 rounds factory loaded ammunition\, and eye & ear protection. Please wear appropriate clothing and closed toe shoes. We provide all that is required for the classroom (student materials\, course materials\, food\, refreshments\, etc.) \nWhat does the 3 Hour Course cover?\nAll applicable state and federal laws relating to the ownership\, storage\, carry\, and transportation of a firearm.
